A built-in fridge is one of the heaviest, tightest installs in a kitchen. The unit can weigh several hundred pounds and has to slide into a cabinet opening built to fit it, with the panels lined up to the cabinets around it. We bring a two-person crew and the right equipment, and we take the time to get it right.
We install. We don't sell appliances. Bought from a showroom, online or through your builder or kitchen designer? We'll install it.
What's included
- Path check before the day: doorways, stairs, tight turns and floor protection
- Old unit disconnected, panels removed and kept safe if they're being reused
- New unit moved in with a two-person crew and the right dolly or skid for the weight
- Anti-tip hardware installed, unit levelled and set to the maker's clearances
- Custom panels hung and doors aligned with the cabinets on either side
- Water line connected to your existing shut-off for the ice maker and dispenser
- Cooling and water tested before we leave, and the old unit hauled away if you ask
Column fridges and freezer pairs
Column fridges and freezers can stand alone or side by side. When they're paired, we install the maker's joining or trim kit so the two units read as one, with even gaps and aligned panels.

Before install day
- Confirm the opening size against the new unit's install guide
- Have the custom panels and handles on site, built to the maker's panel spec
- An outlet in the right spot and a water shut-off must already be in place
- Switching brands? Openings, outlet locations and panel sizes differ. Send both model numbers and a photo of the opening and we'll check the fit first.

Built-in fridge installation FAQ
How much does built-in fridge installation cost?
Most 48-inch built-in or panel-ready fridge swaps (old one out, new one in) start around $800, labour only, plus HST. With haul-away of the old unit, most start around $975. Outlet moves, new panels, cabinet work and new water lines are extra.
Can I switch to a different brand of built-in fridge?
Often, yes, but openings, outlet locations and panel sizes differ between brands. Send the old and new model numbers and a photo of the opening, and we'll check the fit before install day.
Do you hang the custom panels?
Yes. We hang your panels and handles and align the doors with the cabinets. The panels need to be built to the fridge maker's panel spec.
Will a built-in fridge fit through my house?
We check the path first. Send the width of your narrowest doorway, hallway or stair, and we'll compare it to the unit's dimensions.
Do you connect the water line for the ice maker?
Yes, to an existing water shut-off. If there's no line or shut-off near the fridge, we'll tell you before install day.
Do you install Sub-Zero, Thermador and Miele?
Yes. We install premium built-in brands following each maker's install guide.
Can you install a column fridge and freezer side by side?
Yes. We install the maker's joining or trim kit so the pair lines up evenly.
Do you take the old built-in fridge away?
Yes. Ask when you book. A built-in swap with haul-away is from $975.
