Laundry in Hamilton usually means one of three places: a basement in an older house, a closet in a newer home or condo, or a stacked pair squeezed into a secondary unit. Streamlined Solutions Ontario is based in Hamilton, so we know all three. We install the washer and dryer you bought, connect them, vent the dryer, level both units and run a test cycle before we leave.
We install. We don't sell appliances. Buy your laundry pair anywhere and we'll put it in.
Hamilton laundry rooms we install in
Basement laundry in older homes. Plenty of lower-city and Mountain houses keep the laundry downstairs, past a tight turn, a low beam or a steep set of stairs. We carry the new pair down, take the old pair up and out, and hook up to your existing taps, drain and dryer vent.
Laundry closets in newer homes and condos. Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Binbrook and Waterdown homes often have a main-floor or second-floor laundry closet, and downtown condos are often tighter still. Stacked pairs need a stacking kit and careful levelling so the dryer sits square on the washer. For condos, book the service elevator with management.
Secondary units and basement apartments. A compact stacked pair is the usual fit. Landlords can book the laundry together with a kitchen set for one visit.
What a laundry install includes
- Old washer and dryer disconnected and taken away if you want
- Hot and cold hoses and the drain hose connected to your existing hookups
- Dryer connected to your existing vent with a proper vent connection
- Stacking kit fitted for stacked pairs
- Both units levelled, then a test-run before we leave
- Gas hookups available for gas dryers, where a gas line and shut-off are already in place

| Gas dryer (existing gas line) | from $275 |

Before install day: you need working water taps, a drain (standpipe or laundry tub), the right outlet for the dryer and a vent to the outside. Moving the laundry to a new spot needs new plumbing and venting, which isn't part of an install. We'll tell you up front.
